Interior design - My bedroom.? - art do for curtain

Currently, my room, dark wood floors, white furniture, lighting and green walls are black and white, shades of Art Deco. A bit boring if you ask me. I developed a growing love for the styles crammed with antiques, dark-green velvet, silk, leather sofas, antique lamps. I am not about trawling through eBay to find the right thing is concerned, but where should I start? What must I do to get it all going? Is it important, plan, or that this room will naturally over time? Other items that you would give meaning to my room, would also be helpful [: thanks x
